Visiting the house of Jackie Treehorn

i am a HUGE fan of The Big Lebowski. i am also a huge fan of mid-century design and architecture. so i was simply jazzed to see, while perusing gossip site D-Listed a few weeks ago, that the Armand Hammer Museum in LA was offering a tour of the John Lautner-designed 'Sheats/Goldstein Residence' on October 12.

in The Big Lebowski, Jackie Treehorn (known pornographer and producer of Logjammin') lives in the Sheats/Goldstein residence. the movie makes it look like it's in malibu - which it is not. but other than that, it looks EXACLTY like in the film. lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-yous.

here are some pics. and proud i am of all of them.

the man in this photo is Jim Goldstein - he lives in Treehorn's house.

Excuse me, I have a beverage here....

..enjoyed greatly reading your blog....
a few years ago, I was watching an "art film" (by the celebrated Andrew Blake)
with a "friend" whilst exploring a bit of "slap and tickle"....

The "actors" and "actresses" seemed to be inspecting...Jackie Treehorn's house! made the evening all so much more special.
Thanks again.
